Okay ladies, near and far, wherever you ran today, please post a comment about it!
We met up at Valley Park this morning and ran along the beautiful strand. It was awesome. We took a little detour to avoid running into the racers (for the Hometown Fair). Speaking of which, I think some of our group ran a 10K this morning at the Hometown Fair? Please tell us about it! We are proud of you.
Also, may I suggest checking the blog before you go to bed on Friday evening? That way you will see any updates on where we are going to meet. Those updates may be in the comments of the top blog post. When we meet up, we will wait for 5 min (until 7:35) and then we are off and running!
One more thing: I think we need a name for our group! So if you have any ideas, please post them. :)

It was a fun run! It's fun to run/walk together! =) This week was kind of hit and miss with my running...I joined Jill and Lenna for an early morning run at Avaition track on Monday and did my best to run during the week. It was hard everyday because Bryan was out of town...So, if anyone wants to swap babysitting, let me know!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a name for our group! I think the Gazelles, or Butterflies, or ya know "Thing one and thing two"? We could each have a color and be the "Pink thing" or "gold thing" ........? I know others will have good ideas! Let's hear it!

Christy, Loretta, Kathryn, and I ran the 10K! It was tough, but very rewarding!
ReplyDeleteSeveral years ago in seminary, Sis. O'Brien had the motto - "I can do hard things" I think that fits for us.
The run today was really fun! It's really great to do this together. Especially because I haven't been a runner before! Thanks Kate and everyone in the group. I am really enjoying it!

I forgot to say congratulations to the 10k-ers! Maybe that will be me some day!

ReplyDeleteThis is a scripture that my son's cross country team used. I heard it quoted in conference and I thought it might offer some inspiration.
